There are things that are just said in passing: "in-house development", "own recipe", "handmade". We want to explain what that really means to us – because it's truly important to us.
No catalog, no orders – everything from our own kitchen
When we develop a new soap, it doesn't start with an order from a fragrance supplier. It begins with an idea, a mood, a feeling. Edina sits down with her essential oils and starts mixing – drop by drop, combination by combination – until something emerges that expresses exactly what she envisions.
Our fragrance blends are not bought in. They are not developed by a fragrance laboratory and then sold under our name. Every single composition – from BERGMANN to WALDNEBEL – was created in our manufactory in Wörgl, Tyrol. This means: these fragrances are only available from us.
Why pure essential oils and no synthetic perfume?
The difference begins with the ingredients. Synthetic perfume – usually listed simply as "Parfum" in the INCI declaration – is a collective term for a variety of chemical compounds that are intended to imitate the scent of a natural oil. It can smell good. But it is an imitation.
Pure essential oils are the distillate of the plant itself. The lavender oil in our ENTSPANNUNG soap comes from real lavender grown in Bulgarian fields. The cedarwood oil in our BERGMANN comes from the wood of the Atlas cedar. This is not marketing – this is stated in the INCI declaration, which is fully accessible for each of our products.
Our ten fragrance blends – a brief overview
BERGMANN – Cedarwood, Silver Fir, Patchouli, Juniper Berry Oil, Activated Carbon. Strength, forest, depth.
LOVE – A romantic, floral-warm composition for special moments.
ROSENGARTEN – Rose Geranium Bourbon, Amyris, Orange, Ylang-Ylang, Frankincense. Romantic, warm, feminine.
GOLDSTUNDE – Orange, Amyris, Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot. For the transition between day and evening.
WALDSPAZIERGANG – Stone Pine and Lemon. Fresh, clear, alpine.
ZIMTSCHNECKE – Cassia Cinnamon, Anise, Clove, Orange, Benzoin, Poppy. Like freshly baked.
CHILL OUT – Spices in their warming, not awakening, aspect.
ENTSPANNUNG – Lavender and balancing oils for the evening routine.
LEBENSFREUDE – Bright, fresh, invigorating. For grey days and full energy.
WALDNEBEL – Deep, dark, grounding. Our most characterful scent.
What this means for you
When you buy one of our soaps, you're not getting an off-the-shelf product. You're getting a soap whose fragrance was developed here in Wörgl – with intention, with care, and with pure essential oils that have a genuine aromatherapeutic effect. We will tell you more about this in the coming weeks.
