Mediterranean care with tradition: Organic olive oil

Olive oil – liquid gold for the skin
Olive oil is one of the world's oldest and most proven skin care products. Even Cleopatra is said to have owed her secret of flawless skin to the regular use of olive oil. For millennia, people around the Mediterranean have recognized what science confirms today: olive oil is an extraordinary nutrient for human skin.
In our Tirol soaps, olive oil is one of the most important basic raw materials – because it simply works. Natural, gentle, effective.
What makes olive oil so valuable for the skin?
Olive oil is rich in oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that is very similar to the natural composition of skin fat. This allows the skin to absorb and utilize olive oil particularly well. In addition, it contains:
- Vitamin E – one of the strongest natural antioxidants, protects against free radicals
- Vitamin A – promotes cell renewal and keeps skin young
- Vitamin K – supports skin regeneration
- Polyphenols – anti-inflammatory and cell-protective
- Squalene – moisturizing and skin-identical
The effect of olive oil in soap:
- ✔ Moisturizing – keeps the skin hydrated long-term
- ✔ Antioxidant – protects against skin aging
- ✔ Anti-inflammatory – soothes irritated skin
- ✔ Regenerating – supports natural skin renewal
- ✔ Gentle cleansing – without drying out the skin
- ✔ Suitable for all skin types – even for babies and children
Why is olive oil in soap better than synthetic alternatives?
Many inexpensive soaps contain paraffin or synthetic oils – by-products of petroleum processing. These form a film on the skin without providing real care. Olive oil, on the other hand, is plant-based, skin-identical and biodegradable. It cares for the skin instead of just covering it up.
Which skin types is olive oil soap suitable for?
Olive oil is so gentle and versatile that it is suitable for almost every skin type – from baby skin to mature skin, from normal to very dry. Especially people with sensitive, redness-prone or very dry skin benefit from the intensive care performance of olive oil.
