The Power of Nature: Why Handmade Natural Soaps Are the Best Choice for Your Skin
Share
In our manufactory in Tyrol, we stir, cut, and store – with our hands. Why this makes a difference, what is created using the cold process, and why industrial soap is simply not the same.
The secret: the cold process
Handmade natural soaps are created using a centuries-old process: Vegetable oils and fats are combined with lye at low temperatures. This gentle process has a crucial advantage – the natural glycerin remains in the soap.
In industrially produced soaps, glycerin is often extracted and sold separately. The result: a soap that cleanses but dries out the skin. In cold saponification, the glycerin remains – and nourishes the skin during cleansing.
What's in our soaps
The basis of each of our soaps are high-quality vegetable oils:
✦ Olive oil – moisturizes, makes skin supple, suitable for all skin types
✦ Organic coconut oil – provides creamy lather, antimicrobial effect
✦ Organic shea butter – nourishes dry skin, rich in vitamins
✦ Organic castor oil – gives the soap stability and a luxurious lather
✦ Organic almond oil – gentle, soothing, ideal for sensitive skin
In addition, pure essential oils are used – no synthetic perfume, no artificial fragrances. Lavender, Swiss pine, lemongrass, peppermint – each soap smells as nature intended.
Why this is important for your skin
Conventional shower gels and industrial soaps often contain aggressive surfactants that attack the skin's natural acid mantle. The consequence: dryness, tightness, irritated skin.
Natural soaps made with the cold process cleanse thoroughly – but gently. They remove dirt and excess oils without stressing the skin. The natural glycerin acts as a natural moisturizer.
For which skin type?
– Dry skin → olive oil and shea butter soaps
– Oily skin → soaps with activated charcoal or healing clay
– Sensitive skin → fragrance-free variants, coconut milk soap
– Mature skin → nourishing oils like avocado or calendula
Good for the skin, good for the environment
Natural soaps are biodegradable – they do not pollute water or soil. No microplastics, no harmful chemicals. Our packaging is plastic-free.
And because they are made in Tyrol: short transport routes, regional production, personal quality control.
Tips for longer shelf life
A well-maintained natural soap lasts 4–6 weeks with daily use:
✦ Use a soap dish with drainage – no standing water
✦ Allow to dry after use
✦ Store in a cool, dry place
Handmade. Tested. From Tyrol.
Every soap that leaves our manufactory is created according to self-developed recipes – tested, refined, and given our own name. This is not a mass-produced product. This is a product we stand behind.
